Whoa!
This summer flew by.
Cate started second grade on Monday (sniff!) and I’m trying to get back into my routine. Well, our routine. I have my main squeeze by my side as always and we are keeping busy with so much stuff.
Liam and I both decided we needed to meet new people. Get a little socializing. We have loads of fun at home, with our trucks, puzzles and trains, but we wanted to see what other little people and Moms have fun playing and doing. So, I reached out to some of my Mom friends and decided to join the MOMS club in my area. I was a bit nervous. Kind of like the first day in a new school or maybe the first day at a new job. Butterflies in my tummy. Would I get along with the others? Would I have any commonalities? I put on my game face (smile) and went for it. I met the president for lunch this week and we instantly clicked. We had tons to talk about and not all of it was about the blue eyed beauty in the booster seat sitting next to me. I knew right away I was going to join. I can’t wait to go to our first Kids in the Kitchen activity tomorrow. I just know I have made the right decision for Liam and I and we can’t wait to make new friends.
In other news, Liam and I have started the long and painfully tedious challenge of potty training. I know he’s young, especially for a boy. Believe me, I wouldn’t be attempting this if he wasn’t showing some signs and also wasn’t so receptive to peeing on the potty! He’s being a little trooper with this. Me on the other hand am exhausted, confused and couldn’t be more proud. At the moment we are doing the run around the house naked routine. He hasn’t had any accidents outside the bowl, but I know eventually we have to work on getting this child clothed!
Also, if you have any advice you would like to pass along, I’m all ears!
So, this isn’t my normal blog posting, but this is whats going on in my life right now. And what makes me, me!
Here are a few snap shots of Liam today. He is getting so big. I was so happy to get something of him and our dog, Bella, which he adores.
