Archive for June, 2011

I am constantly amazed by how quickly my life flies by. I can’t believe it’s almost July. Where has this year gone?  How is it possible that we are more than half way to Christmas? Or that I my baby just turned two? It’s unreal.

Speaking of time flying, when my good friend Nick called to see my availability last week to photograph his daughters, one-year-old photos I couldn’t believe it. Some of may remember the post last spring with Nick and his wife, Corneisha, showing off the baby bump. Or even Layla’s newborn photos last summer.

But, how in the world is this beautiful baby, one already? Wow!

Layla is such a good baby. I had no doubt she would be as cute as a bug with parents as gorgeous as she has, but she is also flirty and sweet. A real charmer.  This was my fifth time photographing Nick and Corneisha. I always have so much fun cracking jokes and being silly. It never feels like work with them.

They invited me Apollo Beach last week on a warm evening and these are some of my favorites. It was such a pretty night and the family just glowed in front of the camera. I am so blessed to have them as friends and I hope that the clock slows down a bit before the next time I see them.

CRAVE Tampa Bay

Sorry for the delay but it’s been a crazy month. Crazy in a good way. Lots to catch up on but first I want to share something I am very excited to be a part of. The CRAVE Tampa Bay guide was released last month and I have had a wonderful time flipping through the lovely pages and seeing all these amazing women business owners in my area. And guess what? I’m one of them. Yippee!

I could not have been more pleased with my spread. Actually, the whole book in general has a very hip and positive vibe. I couldn’t be happier handing these out to my favorite people.

Let me know if you’d like a copy.

One of my favorite parts of the project was photographing some of the other business owners. I had the pleasure of meeting several lovely ladies who all happen to own businesses in Dunedin.

What a cool area, Dunedin is!! I had never been, but now it’s definitely a fav.

Over a couple of months I made a few treks there to eat, shop and shoot. Below are the spreads for those women and their businesses. I wanted to thank Tina Marie Avila, owner of Casa Tina’s Authentic Mexican Cuisine, Pan Y Vino Brick Oven Pizza and Wine Bar and Cabana Cafe and Gifts, and Rene Johnson, owner of My Favorite Things and co-owner of The Living Room with her step-daughter Sarah Johnson for allowing me into your shops and restaurants. I hope that we get to break bread again and also that we work together soon.

Also, another HUGE thanks to my family and friends who helped me get everything ready for this and for supporting me. Big hugs and kisses to you all!
