In January I received a call from a bride. She was pretty calm for a woman who had to find a new wedding photographer in less than 3 months. Her original photographer had to pass on the wedding and she got my name from a referral and was hoping that I was open. Luckily, I was. Her fiance loved documentary style and after viewing my website and blog she thought we were a great match.

We met in person and the contract was signed. They couldn’t have been cuter. We started talking about the plans and my involvement and the weeks between flew by.

They chose the Tradewinds Island Grand on St. Pete Beach. The perfect backdrop for their big day. I arrived on that warm, breezy Saturday and found Melissa surrounded by her Mom and friends girl friends. Again she was calm, content and enjoying every moment. While I hung out with Melissa, my friend, Elise Schreiner of Elise Schreiner Photography was on hand to capture Kip and his guys. (Make sure to check out her blog in the coming weeks to see her favorites from the day.)

We both had such a great time capturing the days events. I don’t Kip and Melissa could take a bad photo. They are not only beautiful on the outside but on the inside as well.

I wish them the best on their new adventure as Mr. & Mrs.

Here are a few of my favorites from the day. Enjoy!

Last Saturday I had the pleasure of documenting this this gorgeous couples wedding on St. Pete Beach. Here is one of my favorites from the day. Check back to see the rest in the next week or so. Congrats to Kip and Melissa!!

Last month I was lucky enough to attend the Making Things Happen 2011 workshop here in Tampa. It was a life-changing experience for me. I went in thinking I would get all these work related questions answered and it ended up being SO much bigger then my business. One of the best things to come from the experience was meeting 16 beautiful women. Sixteen powerful women. Sixteen women that I now call friends.

One of those special ladies is Nicole Lucciola who runs a bridal inspiration blog called Fashionably Wed. Her site is spectacular. It’s flawless, timeless and full of loveliness. I would say you could use the same words to describe Nicole. One thing I noticed missing from the site was her beautiful face. I decided I could help rectify this and contacted her to see if she would ever want to setup a photo shoot with me. She was beyond excited. As was I.

Nicole arrived with golden curls and an infectious smile. I knew right then, we were going to have a wonderful time. She even created adorable props and stylized the shoot to match her personality. Everything about her is adorable. Here are a few of my favorites from the evening.
